Tim Mara Artist's Alphabet

Y and Z > Y: You back | start | next |

back to the alphabet grid This section of the Artist's alphabet presents a series of suggested activities related to Tim's work for YOU to do.

The following list is by no means exhaustive but has been designed so you may get involved with his work in a very direct and practical way promoting your understanding of the Artist's thinking process, research and interests. Hopefully, your involvement in these activities will trigger additional lines of enquiry relating to your own creative interests and inspire you to make your own images or develop and expand ideas which you can identify within Tim's work;

1.Look for and collect examples of patternisation and decorative design.

2.Collect a selection of 'ordinary' everyday objects of various materials.

3.Collect examples of other Artists work that you identify with or interest you.

4.Collect examples of film stills and single frame images from movies you are familiar with.

5.Examine domestic interiors you are familiar with.

6.Look at the clothes, which are worn by your family and friends and also your own clothing.
