Although the three blocks for Peach were cut by Barron specifically to be used together in various combinations, this was exceptional. (No. 1, 2, 3, 4) Instead Barron and Larcher preferred to marry blocks together instinctively. They might use a French block to overprint one of their own designs such as Eagle, and enjoyed experimenting with the numerous different effects that could be achieved by using blocks creatively.
