No 21: Bowl, 1984 (P.89.4)
This bowl is of thrown porcelain on a turned foot. It bears one of the classic motifs of ceramic decoration: a fish, possibly a carp or catfish. The fish is painted in oxides under an olive greenish transparent glaze into which it has very slightly blurred. The pot was a gift from the artist to the weaver Marianne Straub who presented it to the Crafts Study Centre.
