Elizabeth Darling
|
| Dr Elizabeth Darling is Senior Lecturer in Architectural History & Theory at the School of Architecture, University of Brighton. Her doctoral thesis considered the work and life of the housing consultant Elizabeth Denby (1894-1965) whilst other research interests include the relationship between health reform and the built environment in inter-war Britain and design reform in the 1930s. Her most recent publications include an article on architecture and consumption for the Journal of Architectural Education and a chapter on the philosophy of housing reform in the 1930s for the volume Regenerating England: Science, Medicine & Culture in Inter-war Britain (eds. C.Lawrence & A-K Mayer, Amsterdam, Rodopi, 2000). |
