Description This painting shows a panoramic landscape with goats, sheep and cows tended by a herdswoman, and a small cottage with a smoking chimney in the distance. The landscape and cottage were painted by A. J. Daiwaille (1818-1888), a Dutch artist who moved to Brussels in 1849. The animals and the herdswoman were painted by the Belgian animal painter E. Verboeckhoven (1799-1881) These two artists, who worked in a very traditional style, joined forces on many occasions.
