| Description |
A couple of children are playing with miniature boats on the beach. One of the girls is standing in the water and holding up her skirt to prevent it from getting wet. The topic of children playing with boats was also a favourite of Blommers' model Jozef Israëls, who referred to this motif as 'children of the sea'. |
