| Description | A young girl is pulling a wooden carriage containing her sibling through the dunes. Figure paintings like these were extremely popular abroad, especially among English, Scottish and American collectors. In the Netherlands, however, Blommers' carefree paintings were considered genre pieces and the landscape painters of the Hague School were preferred. | |
