| Description |
This is the companion piece to Ruins with Figures (RSA Collection, 1992.253). A massive archway in the foreground acts as frame through which is viewed a ruinous courtyard. Below the arch two small figures emphasise the scale of the architecture. The painting, in unstable condition, is currently covered in facing paper. |
