Description An Italian landscape painter, active in the middle and late nineteenth century, Armandi was influenced by Corot and the Barbizon School. This scene of a cottage and meadow beneath a stormy sky is typical of his work, recalling the work of Constable, a major influence on the Barbizon painters.
