| Description | This is a version of many paintings in which Rosa represented a group of figures, either mythological characters or Sicilian armed men, also called briganti, resting next to the sea or a river. In this painting, the artist, a follower of Rosa, has decided to represent three briganti, recognizable by their hats, probably stolen from soldiers and richer people, resting by a mountain stream. | |
