| Description | A typical Netherlandish landscape scene of the mid-seventeenth century painted in the manner of Jan van Goyen. 'John Bruegal of Bruges', presumably refers to Jan Brueghel the elder or younger. However the muted colours and lack of detail are not characteristic of their style, and are more in keeping with an imitator of van Goyen. | |
