Description In this portrait of James Moon (c.1618-1680), King's Councillor, the subject appears to be around 35-40 years of age. He is depicted almost half-length, and his right shoulder and face are turned towards the viewer. His light-brown hair (or wig) is worn long. He is swathed in red silk, with a white cravat. The composition is oval, although the support is rectangular.
