| Object Notes | Sketch of an Angel playing a horn/pipe, baring down on a small coastal town; large radiating sun at top centre. Letter on verso, detailing the sending of a frieze to a Francis H Barings. It would appear that this was sent to Lethaby (from Witcombe Priestly). The drawing must relate to the frieze in some way; it seems likely that it may be the actual design, and that Lethaby may have been responsible if not just for the drawing, but the design as well. | |
