| Notes | This page is from a small book, probably a Book of Hours. Stylistically (particularly with the Rinceaux style decoration) this could be from a manuscript produced by the workshop of the Boucicaut Master. However, he did have a profound effect on other French workshops so this particular example may have been made by one of his circle, or one of his followers. [The Boucicaut Master is known to have worked between 1405 and 1420.] This would have originally been part of the Central School's Teaching Examples Collection. |
