| Notes | Some of the executed fireplaces made from these designs (some by Farmer & Brindley, Coalbrookedale Iron Company) were exhibited at the first two Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society shows. Some of these designs may have been for Stanmore Hall; Lethaby designing five fireplaces for a contract given to him by William Morris. | |
| Object Notes | The main image, the design for a fireplace, appears to have been cut from another sheet and has since been pasted onto it's current support, probably by Lethaby, as is suggested by the surrounding notes and scale measurements. The design itself doesn't actually appear to be a drawing at first glance, it looks more like a photomechanical reproduction, inscriptions are all in pencil. Sheet has been cut down from original size. Double line border at three edges. | |
