| Description | Dark steatite shabti, inscribed for the scribe Ramesses. The shabti is mummiform in shape with arms crossed over the chest and holding a hoe in each hand. He wears a striated tripartite wig, wesekh collar and bracelets on both wrists and there is a trapezoid bag/basket suspended by cords on the middle of his back. There is an incised inscription in one column of hieroglyphs down the back of the shabti and six rows of hieroglyphs bearing the shabti formula, Chapter 6 from the Book of the Dead. There is some slight damage to the head and face and a large chip is missing at heels of the shabti. It stands on a modern wooden pedestal. |
