| Description |
A small pink calculator with a NatWest 'The piggy bank' wording a moulded pig on a cover which slides up to reveal the screen. This calculator dates from the 1980s and is linked to a promotional campaign featuring a piggy bank family. The pigs were a family of five characters usually represented as ceramic money boxes made by Wade; Sir Nathaniel Westminster the father, Lady Hillary the mother, Maxwell the boy, Annabel the girl and Woody the baby, and were given to children holding accounts with the Bank, depending on the balance achieved. The characters have now become collectors pieces. This calculator depicts Sir Nathanial Westminster. NatWest stopped the promotion in 1988. |
