| Description |
This type of Mediterranean landscape with classical ruins and small picturesque figures was popularised by Pierre Antoine Patel in the last decades of the seventeenth century. The composition and the motifs correspond to Patel's paintings, but stylistic differences suggest that this is a later work which follows his style. |
