| Description |
A small single-masted vessel occupies centre foreground where it is being tossed about on a turbulent sea. No sail is set and there are two crewmen aboard. A signal pole projects from a quay on the right. Beyond can be seen the church tower and other buildings of a substantial town. Above, a cloudy and overcast sky menaces. |
