Description A hunting scene. What appears to be wooded Germany countryside, a castle in the distance and a pathway. On the pathway in the foreground, a mustached hunter in a bowler hat, turquoise waistcoat, grey jacket, buff breeches and high black boots with a rifle slung over his shoulder. He holds something in his left hand. He converses with a heavily set servant who has his back to the viewer. He carries a green sack on his back, probably full of birds shot in the hunt. He holds a brimmed hat in his right hand and a staff in his left. To the left of these figures, a black and a brown horse stand, another servant, smartly dressed in a black cap, dark jacket, white breeches and black boots holding their reins. Two dogs stand and sit by the horses. To the right of the pathway, two dead stags and one deer. In the distance, a farmer and two cows. Two walkers approach along the path.
