| Notes |
R. Norman Shaw was the architect of the Albert Hall Mansions in South Kensington. Lethaby worked in Shaw's offices as his Chief Clerk between 1879-1890; Shaw had expressed admiration for Lethaby's drawings before employing him. This particular piece was almost certainly made during Lethaby's first two years at Shaw's company. |
| Object Notes |
Drawing by Lethaby of a building designed by Shaw, showing a very detailed sketch view of the Albert Hall Mansions. Bottom left, "WR Lethaby Delt." (ie drawing by WR Lethaby). |
