Description Postcard, printed, cardboard, black and white image, black text, white background, produced by the Suffrage Atelier, stylised image of two women holding babies, printed inscription front: 'THE LAW & THE MOTHER. MARRIED MOTHER: 'The magistrate says I am not the parent of my own child! so my old man has to lose a day's work to get the Vaccination Exemption Order for the baby' UNMARRIED MOTHER: 'That's queer, I'm counted the parent of my baby all right; the Law does not seem to treat you very well''.
